The 3rd Annual Saskatchewan Mining Supply Chain Forum was held in Saskatoon on April 13, 2011. This forum is an annual event that brings mining project and procurement people together with manufacturing and related service companies to discuss opportunities in the mining supply chain.
There were over 360 participants in the forum. Delegates heard from mining companies such as Mosaic, Cameco, PotashCorp, Agrium, Claude Resources, Golden Band Resources and BHP Billiton on topics of project and operations updates. Mining companies in addition to consultant companies such as AMEC, Hatch discussed opportunities in the supply chain for businesses. Participants also heard from Graham Industrial Services and Points Athabasca Contracting discussing the success of partnerships with First Nations and Metis in businesses supplying to the Mining Industry.
