The Competitiveness and Strategy Division has two major functions. The first is to lead the government's regulatory reform initiative, which includes fulfilling the government's commitment to reduce the number of regulations.
The second function is to address business irritants and red tape issues for small and medium-sized businesses. To accomplish this objective, the division works with individual businesses and their associations. Business people who have questions or wish to provide input into the process are invited to contact Enterprise Saskatchewan.

The government is calling on Saskatchewan communities that were adversely affected by the economic downturn to apply for funding from the Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF) for economic revitalization projects.
