The goal of this directory is to promote Aboriginal-owned, Saskatchewan-based businesses to the Crown sector. This innovative tool provides Aboriginal suppliers with the opportunity to market their products and services directly to the Crowns in order to build prosperous business relationships. The Aboriginal Business Directory is provided by Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan.
Through the ABSN, Aboriginal entrepreneurs have access to the information and resources on a wide range of business topics. The ABSN provides the Aboriginal business community with a wide range of information on government services, programs and regulations. The service is supported through the Canada-Saskatchewan Business Service Centre and is provided free of charge.
The mission of the CCDF is to improve the economic circumstances of Saskatchewan's Métis by providing funding for business development, community economic development and development of management skills and assistance to new and existing Métis owned businesses.
The First Nations and Métis Fund is the first Aboriginal fund in Canada that will make investments in Saskatchewan-based First Nations and Métis businesses. The fnd will make investments between $1 million and $3 million. The mandate of the fnd is to strengthen Aboriginal participation in Saskatchewan’s diverse economy and to help create economic development opportunities and jobs for First Nations and Métis people.
The Northern Saskatchewan Business Directory is a comprehensive directory of the goods and services of over 700 businesses in more than 62 communities in the Saskatchewan Northern Administration District. The business information available includes services offered, business contact information, years in business, and location of business, as well as other information. The directory is compiled and updated by Saskatchewan Northern Affairs.
SIEF was one of the first Aboriginal financial institutions in Canada to offer developmental lending to First Nation businesses in Saskatchewan. SIEF is owned by the 75 First Nations of Saskatchewan and affiliated with the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations.
Owned by the Métis Nation - Saskatchewan Secretariat Inc., the SaskMetis Economic Development Corporation is an Aboriginal Capital Corporation that finances the start-up, acquisition and expansion of Métis-controlled small businesses in Saskatchewan. SMEDCO offers a variety of programs for Metis business including: loans, business advisory services and youth programs (18-35).
