In January 2008, the federal government announced the $1-billion Community Development Trust Fund intended to help support activities that strengthen economic opportunities for communities negatively affected by global financial and commodity market disruption.
Saskatchewan's share of the this fund is $36.4 million over three years. The Government of Saskatchewan needs community input on how these funds can be directed to best serve the needs of distressed communities.
The deadline for 2010 infrastructure applications is May 14, 2010.
The government is calling on Saskatchewan communities that were adversely affected by the economic downturn to apply for funding from the Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF) for economic revitalization projects.
If a proposed development is likely to have an impact on the environment, you may require permits from the Ministry. In the case of significant impacts, an assessment is required and must be conducted before development begins. The Ministry of Environment can help you identify environmental considerations and necessary steps related to your project.
