Minister of Enterprise, Minister Responsible for Trade, Government House Leader.

Jeremy Harrison grew up in the Meadow Lake area and graduated from Carpenter High School in 1996. Jeremy went on to complete an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Canadian History from the University of Alberta, graduating in 2001. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. Jeremy has also attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a Juris Doctor (Law) degree in 2004. He was called to the bar in April 2008.

Jeremy was successfully elected to Parliament on June 28, 2004, and at the age of 26 became one of the youngest Canadians ever to sit in the House of Commons. During his term he became the youngest Canadian to ever chair a meeting of a Standing Committee of the House of Commons. Subsequent to the 2006 election he served as a senior advisor in the federal government.

After Jeremy was elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in November 2007, he became the youngest Canadian ever to have been elected to both the House of Commons and a Provincial Legislative Assembly. He first served as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Resources, Northern Resources and Oil Sands Development until he was appointed to Cabinet on May 29, 2009. He served successfully for over a year as the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Deputy Government House Leader.

On June 29, 2010, Jeremy was sworn in as the Minister of Enterprise Saskatchewan and Minister Responsible for Trade. On December 5, 2011, Jeremy was appointed as Government House Leader.

Jeremy also serves as the Chair of the Enterprise Saskatchewan Board, Chair of the Cabinet Committee on the Economy, Member of the Board of Internal Economy, Member of the Legislation and Regulation Review Committee, and Member of the Global Transportation Hub Cabinet Committee.

Jeremy and his wife Alaina, a school teacher, have one son, MacGregor and one daughter, Finnley.
