Saskatchewan Manufacturing Week 2011

Manufacturing is one of three major wealth-generating sectors in the province. Our manufacturers produce a wide range of major goods, and we export about 80% of what we manufacture.

The focus of the week is to celebrate Saskatchewan's manufacturing expertise, the successes our businesses and communities are achieving, and to highlight the training and career opportunities that are available in Saskatchewan's vibrant and innovative manufacturing sector.

The ingenuity and skill of 28,500 people and an abundance of resource wealth have driven the growth of Saskatchewan's manufacturing and processing industry, with shipments of about $10.9 billion annually.

Several events took place around the province during Saskatchewan Manufacturing Week.

Many thanks to all of our sponsors and partners.

This special feature appeared in the November 26th edition of the Regina Leader-Post and the Saskatoon StarPhoenix highlighting Saskatchewan's manufacturing excellence.
